Cold (-6^c) and windy day, went for a walk through Wychwood Park. Saw the typical winter birds.

Female Cardinal
Female cardinal sitting in a tree.
Cardinal Male
The stereotypical winter scene, a winter cardinal.
Cardinal and House Finch
This garage has vines growing all over it, providing food for winter birds.
Vines covering a garage
I wish everyone would plant vines on their garage or home. The seeds provide important winter food for birds.
Chickadee
A bird that hangs around in winter.
Down Woodpecker
Downy woodpeckers can be seen through winter.
Goldfinches
Winter goldfinches with their muted colour.
House finch
The red house finch is a nice treat in the winter.
Junco
Juncos migrate south during the winter, their south is Toronto.
Nuthatch
Another winter bird, the nuthatch.
Robin
A bunch of robins were hanging around in the gutter, maybe getting some warmed water coming from the dark colour roof melting snow. Or just hanging around in the gutters as a safe place to sit.
Wychwood Naturalizing.
The city has been naturalizing Wychwood, cutting out the Norway Maples, and planting Oaks. Toronto was originally an Oak Savannah.
Froozen Wychwood Pond
No hockey playing, the pond is not frozen enough.
Taddle Creek
This is one of the few places that Taddle Creek can be seen, it's buried almost all the way to the lake. Travelling through the Annex, past Philosophers Walk at U of T.
