Walked through Cedarvale Park in early March. The weather is a month ahead with temperatures in the low to mid teens. 10^C above what it should be.
The redwing-blackbirds are here, it feels very early. Greenery already coming up, though there should be snow on the ground. Downy woodpecker enjoying this very early spring. Red-squirrel hanging out near the playgound, looking for something tastey. The juncos are still here, and so are the redwing-blackbirds, strange. Lots of robins in the park today. Robins are enjoying the early sping. Saw this Merling circling a redtailed hawk, they were eyeing each other. Hawk migration?
